Hot in Vegas (Nash) and DC in the Fall!
July 1, 2007
Aahh heat and humidity. At least the veggie garden is cranking out the eggplant, cukes, zucchini and squash. Yum! And the deer like it too.
Good stuff happening this month so check out the shows. I'm excited to play the Chicks with Picks series hosted by Sabrina and Roxie as well as return to the Bluebird for their Sunday writer's night. And best of all is my return to the NoVA/DC area for the Burke Center Fall Festival. Can't wait.
peace and love,

I'm honored to have been selected as one of the February artists in Podcast Episode 1 of 96.3 Jack FM's Music City Unsigned. My song "Everyday" is featured. This is a huge opportunity for exposure so I hope you'll check it out!

Singing like a bluebird?
January 1, 2007
Thanks to everyone who came out and showed their support at my Bluebird Cafe debut! It went great, and the kid slept through the entire show, so I was able to perform and catch some great performances as well! I can't think of a better way to start the year!
I also want to tell you about a great organization called the Music City Co-op. Performances are free on Thursdays at Lyrix from 6-8pm and you are encouraged to bring a canned good for the Second Harvest food bank.
Hugs and love, Lianna
Oh Baby!
December 1, 2006
Well, we couldn't have asked for a better Christmas than to celebrate it as a family! We welcomed our little girl into the world on December 18th! Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support! Now I'm practicing to get ready for my debut performance at the Bluebird Cafe on January 7th!
Hugs and love, Lianna
SUMMER AND VA!
August 1, 2006
Well it's hot here in Nashville so I hope it's cooler where you are! I've had a great time playing shows with talented folks including Sabrina, Roxie Randle, and Donny Brazile and more!
Also, I've been co-writing and enjoying the challenges and joys of that process. I'm also excited to return to the DC/VA area 9/9 for the Burke Conservancy Fall Festival and on 10/1 for the Welcome Back Weekend at the Arlington United Methodist Church. Be sure to check the Upcoming shows info on the right.
I hope you can make these shows as I'll be taking a little break for the birth of our first child due in December. I should be up and running again by the spring though so keep in touch!
Hugs and love, Lianna
SPRING AND SHOWS!
April 1, 2006
Spring is all in bloom here in lovely Middle Tennessee! Birds are singing, grillers are grillin' and I'm loving it all! I'm thrilled to be out of hibernation and hitting my guitar strings again. I'm performing at EXAM JAM at the University of Tampa, Cafe 138 and EXPRESS ARTS FESTIVAL so I hope you'll make it out to the upcoming shows. I can't wait to see ya'!
Peace and Grace, Lianna
NACA, THANKS & Fall!
October 28, 2005
NACA South and MidAtlantic were a blast! It was awesome to meet the students as well as musicians, Joe Faulder, Rebecca Loebe, and Jen Wallwork Dominguez and more!
Also, HUMONGOUS thanks to everyone that came out for our farewell show at Bistro Europa. It was an amazing night (even though I was sick with bronchitis!), and we were humbled by the show of support from fans, local musicians, and friends. Mwah! Ya'll know who you are. And I didn't even cry. Well, not until I said goodbye to the fellas. But I'm really excited about what this next phase in music holds! I'll be playing writers' nights and solo shows, as well as touring colleges in the spring, and will be sure to keep you posted. Also, look for a little revamping on the website as it will focus more on me as a solo artist/songwriter.
I hope the weather where you are is as beautiful as it is here in Nashville! Fall is my favorite time of year, partly because it's when all the leaves uniquely express their individual selves, and because it's a time of closure in preparation of new beginnings in spring!
Hugs and love, Lianna
October: FAREWELL TOUR!
October 3, 2005
Well it has been an AMAZING 2 years as a member of LIANNA the band. I still remember the first practice and every wonderful moment since! Given my relocation to Nashville, Booty Dave's relocation to Hartford, CT and other factors, we have decided to disband this version of LIANNA. I'll be working to put a new band together in Nashville while touring solo in colleges, clubs, and festivals. I'd get all mushy here and take a moment to tell Arch, Seth & Dave how much I love them (and their gals), and how humbled I was to play with them, and, most importantly, how blessed I am to have their friendship, but then I'd sound like the softy I really am. So instead I'll say THANK YOU for everything Fellas! And I'll add a thank you to all the good promoters, fans, musicians, and radio and press peeps who believed in us and gave us a chance.
And we invite you all out to our last run of shows starting October 11th at Vermillion and ending with the full band show at Bistro Europa in Old Town Alexandria, Friday, October 14th. We open for our good friends Brother Shamus and couldn't think of a better way to go out. Unless it was a triple bill with Wes Tucker and the Skillets.
Hugs and love, Lianna
September: Now that's a tour
September 28, 2005
Thanks to George Mason for a great solo show and HUGE thanks to Paul Frields (Leah Morgan band, among others) for bringing the bass groove to the band shows at Bistro and the Tarara Wine Fest. And even bigger thanks to the folks who bought CDs. This tour we pushed, I mean sold, over 28! (It's the little things you know!) Now I'm off to the NACA South (Chattanooga) and Mid-Atlantic (Lancaster, PA) conferences to hopefully win over some programmers!
August: Hot & Humid but Groovin'
August 15, 2005
It was an awesome second return trip! Thanks to my women's group and the Swarthmore Drive Social Club for bringing the partaaaay to the Evening Star show. And thanks to Rob and crew for rockin' with us at Bistro even though we played as the power trio!
July: Nashville, Festivals and Booty
July 4, 2005
We arrived to Nashvegas just in time to see the 3rd largest fireworks display to celebrate independence day! WOW! Looking forward to returning to DC for the Reston Festival and other gigs. It will be bitter sweet as our bassman Booty will lay the groove and then move to Connecticut for a swell job. Good luck Booty! We'll miss you!

Rockin' the Casbah ... actually, the Bistro
May 20, 2005
We had an AMAZING show at Bistro Europa in Old Town Alexandria. It felt like a crazy rock show from the '70s, with folks singing along, dancing, and even falling over and trashing our gear! YEA! Thanks to Alec Gross and the Districts for their fine opening set of oak-barrel aged whisky rock, which we suspect set the stage for the rest of the evening's debauchery.
Permanent Waves
May 19, 2005
Thanks so much to Mark Bisnow and the gang on WMET 1160AM's "Bisnow Live" show, who invited us to play live in the studio during morning drive time. We had a blast! Listen to the segment in the Audio section.
Sweet Town thanks
May 9, 2005
Many, many thanks to all of you who caught our set at the Sweet Town Music Festival and gave us such a warm response! It was a fantastic time for us, at what we think is a great new music venue in Alexandria, the Old Town Theater. Special thanks to those who also bought our CDs at the show! A very special thanks to Dave Greksouk of The Reserves, who put the festival together and made sure it was a spectacular experience for the performers as well as the audience. It was a pleasure to work with him and we hope to do it again soon.

And to Amy Rogers Nazarov, who wrote a wonderful piece on us entitled "A Life In Verse" which was published in the April issue of the wonderful Fairfax County magazine, Elan. Hitchin' a ride on the Last Train Home
February 20, 2005
While at IOTA catching a Sunday afternoon show by DC-area roots-rock faves Last Train Home, Arch was invited up to join the band on guitar for their two-song encore, getting a solo turn on "Finally" and trading back-and-forth solos with guitarist Jared Bartlett on "It Doesn't Matter." Many thanks to Eric Brace, Scott McKnight, Bill Williams, Martin Lynds, Kevin Cordt, Jim Gray, and Jared for giving Arch such a special Sunday treat.

The long and rainy road
November 12, 2004
We drove six hours through a non-stop torrential East Coast downpour to the Six String Cafe in Cary, NC, for the NC release party for the new CD, From Here. Many thanks to all those who made it out to the show, and especially to those who were among the first to buy the new CD!
